Simpsons Toons
Simpsons: The Complete Second Season, The (Collector's Edition) Welcome to Season Two of "The Simpsons" on DVD - twenty-two jam-packed episodes of malicious cartoon frivolity that helped make 1990 and 1991 such entertaining and annoying years. This is when full-blown Simpsons Mania hit America. and millions of thoughtful young people across the land were either wearing or selling bootleg Bart Simpson T-shirts. The wild success of the TV show, along with every product that had Bart's leering face slapped on it, would have been daunting had we been able to look up from our drawing tables. But everyone who wore on "The Simpsons" was so consumed with the making of the weekly cartoon that we were able to maintain the exhaustion and worry and carefully nursed bitterness that lies behind all successful Hollywood extravaganzas. If the first season was a series of wild experiments that succeeded beyond our dreams, the second season was a nonstop workathon that was redeemed by the knowledge we were amusing and irritating so many people. Many of the shows from this season remain among my all-time favorites. I'm particularly fond of Bart's pride in getting a grade of D-minus at the end of "Bart Gets An F"; the debut of the ever-slobbering Kang and Kodos in the first of our annual "Treehouse Of Horror" episodes; Homer almost making it across Springfield Gorge on Bart's skateboard; Mr. Burns taking a reluctant bite of Blinky, the three-eyed fish; Maggie bonking Homer with a mallet after watching an "Itchy & Scratchy" cartoon; Bart going to Hell in "Bart Gets Hit By A Car"; and the flashback scene in "The Way We Was," when Homer catches his first glimpse of Marge in high school (se was hot). So put on a ratty old Simpsons T-shirt, grab a bowlful of heavily-salted snack treats, and sink into the couch for a marathon of "Simpsons" classics. If you look carefully, you can see actual drops of blood, sweat and tears on may of the animation cels. Enjoy! Your chum, Matt Groening. Contains the complete second season with all 22 episodes.
Outrage: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away with Murder by Vincent Bugliosi, Here at last is the account of the O.J. Simpson case that no one else has dared to write, that no one else "could write. In "Outrage, the famed prosecutor of Charles Manson and bestselling author of "Helter Skelter goes to the heart of the trial that divided the country and made a mockery of justice. Vincent Bugliosi, who never lost a murder case, brilliantly outlines the five reasons why O.J. Simpson got away with murder: the worst possible jury, a sloppy and incomplete prosecution, a fatal change of venue, judicial error that allowed the defense to play the race card, and a weak summation and rebuttal that barely addressed the defense's frame-up and conspiracy theories. He reveals: --The offer Marcia Clark and Bill Hodgman should "never have refused. --The bluff that saved the defense's cardboard case. --What Deputy Sheriff Jeff Stuart overheard when Rosey Grier visited Simpson in jail. --The 17 words Johnnie Cochran used to cover his argument that could have been his undoing if caught. --Why the jurors never heard Simpson's first police interview-- filled with self-incriminating statements that alone could have convicted him of murder. 1. What mistake in jury selection could have cost Marcia Clark the trial--even before she argued the case? 2. What did Simpson do to make sure the gloves wouldn't fit? 3. How did Judge Ito's behavior towards Marcia Clark prejudice the jury? 4. Why did the prosecutors suppress Simpson's "smoking gun"? 5. How did Johnnie Cochran con the jury? 6.

Modern animation of the most ancient, conservative, and mainstream cartoon producer: Disney. What did Simpson do to make sure the gloves wouldn't fit? How did Johnnie Cochran con the jury? What's fun for me in looking back at all these old episodes is how many jokes and characters have stayed vivid for more than a decade. The peak of Disney's success was in 1994 when their film, The Lion King, surpassed the wildest hopes of the sort not seen in decades, while providing a feast for the eyes unmatched since the 1940s.
